Vintage Navajo Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise & Coral Kokopelli Necklace - Museum Quality
This exceptionally beautiful, museum quality handmade vintage Native American Navajo sterling silver necklace features 5 pendants of inlaid chip turquoise and coral stones in the form of Kokopelli, a symbol of fertility. Each pendant piece features stamped cork stalk motifs and has a bezel set cabochon turquoise stone of spectacular color as its center. The center pendant has 2 cabochon turquoise stones. The graduated pendants are strung on wire, and spaced apart by handmade sterling beads of approximately 0.33" in diameter. The center pendant is approximately 2.5" wide by 3" tall. The other pendants are approximately 1.5" wide by 2" tall. This absolutely gorgeous necklace is stamped on the center pendant's back with a feather, which is the jewel smith's mark, however we were unable to identify the maker. Although not marked as sterling silver, it positively tests so with acid. A rare and special piece, this necklace is a fantastic addition to any collection. It is in excellent vintage condition.
